My combined International Studies/Law degree became a single degree today. I will study law as a postgrad in 4-5 years time. My part-time researching job is going to expand into sales so I'm going to try and juggle that with a full-time single degree load instead of the crazy hours I'm doing now.

The course is interesting in that you can choose to specialise. If you're really into languages, you can choose to fully focus on that. If you see your future in Asia or Europe, you can study with those interests in mind. I'm doing the global stream which debates globalisation, international political economy & relations, global corporations (TNC's), international business, nation states etc. It is compulsory to study a language and spend 2 semesters overseas. Some 2nd year med student said to me that there were no tutorials in the first week of uni, and today I found out that I'm 4 hours behind in SPAN1001 because my language tutorials were on after all. I've reconfigured the language settings on my Mac and PC so that it defaults to Spanish. Perhaps, reading all the options and system preferences in espanol will help somewhat.

A couple of things if I may:

* At what rpm point should you change gears on a car?

* Does anybody know how mutable arrays work?

* How do you get super glue off a glass table?

* Does anybody know how to use the choke properly on a motorbike?

NSMutableArray *array = [NSMutableArray new];

int numbers = 4;

while (numbers--) {
[array addObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:rand() * 1000 * numbers];
}

NSLog(@"%@", array);

[array release];

I think the "sweet spot" for changing gears is different for every car. On mine, it's between 2500 - 3500 rpm. It should be in your car manual. ;)

Okay, sorry about the newbie questions but say I was to generate a bunch of prime numbers using Obj-C, should I not be worrying about mutable arrays specifically?

The dealership won't give me a manual book! The guy said that they were on backorder...and they have been for a month now it's totally unacceptable. I'm still a bit lost when using the windscreen wipers. My old car didn't have a tachometer, so I used to just "feel" when the gears needed to be changed. I ask because this car is not as fuel efficient as I imagined it would be and I'm trying to figure out why...

They withdrew Russian. I chose Spanish because it is arguably the 2nd, 3rd or 4th most spoken language in the world. And it seems everybody wants to learn French, German or Japanese, which far fewer people speak.

You know postgrad law is supposedly much much harder than doing it as an undergrad.

Cool blog by the way!
